Ms. Johora Bebe is a highly accomplished banking professional with nearly four decades of experience in commercial banking, risk management and project financing. She holds an MBA from the Institute of Business Administration (IBA), University of Dhaka (1982) and a B.Sc. (Honors) in Chemistry from the University of Chittagong (1980).

She began her banking career as a Senior Officer at Agrani Bank and concluded it in October 2020 as Additional Managing Director (AMD) and Chief Risk Officer (CRO) of Meghna Bank PLC. In this role, she led the Credit Risk Management, Risk Management and Special Asset Management divisions and also served as a Nominated Director of Meghna Bank Securities Limited.

Ms. Bebe served at One Bank PLC from 2005 to 2017 and rose to the position of Deputy Managing Director (DMD). She oversaw key functions including Credit Risk, IT, International Operations and AML Compliance. She served as Head of Credit for nearly a decade and briefly led the Operations Division. As Chief Risk Officer (CRO) and Chief Anti-Money Laundering Compliance Officer (CAMLCO), she played a significant role in strengthening the Bank’s risk governance and regulatory compliance framework.

Her expertise in structured and project finance was further strengthened during her tenure at IFIC Bank PLC (1996–2004). Joining as a Senior Assistant Vice President, she played a pivotal role in establishing the Project Finance Division and managed large-scale project and syndicated financing, departing as a Senior Vice President.
