Obtaining M. Com. M. Com. in Finance from the University of Dhaka, MBA (with Commonwealth Scholarship) from the University of Saskatchewan, Canada, and PhD (with SSF Scholarship) in Finance from the Athens University of Economics and Business, Greece

Mohammad Sadiqul Islam has been teaching in the University of Dhaka for about 35 years. Presently he is a professor in the Department of Finance, University of Dhaka. He obtained M.Com in Finance from the University of Dhaka, MBA from the University of Saskatchewan, Canada, and PhD in Finance from the Athens University of Economics and Business, Greece. He is working as the Supervisor of a number of students in PhD, DBA and M. Phil. programs. He also worked as PhD thesis examiner of the Aligarh Muslim University of India and the University of Chittagong, Bangladesh. He was the Executive Editor of the Journal of Finance and Banking. He served in the editorial board of a number of journals. He worked as an expert member for curriculum development in the University of Dhaka, University of Chittagong, United International University and National University. He is the Chair of Program Self-Assessment Committee for ensuring institutional quality assurance of the academic programs of the Department of Finance, University of Dhaka. He was the team leader for evaluating the institutional quality assurance of the Bangladesh University of Business and Technology. He has been serving as a member of academic council of a number of institutions. He organized a number of international conferences. He presented research papers and participated in a number of conferences held in Bangladesh, Australia, USA, Japan, United Arab Emirates, Thailand and India. He organized a number of training programs under the University of Dhaka. He is a Qualified Cost and Management Accountant and a fellow member of the Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Bangladesh. He is a Director of the Center for Corporate Governance and Finance Studies, University of Dhaka and life member of the Finance Alumni Association, University of Dhaka. He authored a number of research monographs, research articles, working papers and cases. He was awarded Canadian Commonwealth Scholarship for pursuing MBA program and SSF Scholarship for pursuing PhD program in Greece.

Mr. Akhter Matin Chaudhury FCA, FCS, is a seasoned professional with a career spanning over 50 years, contributing extensively to the financial and corporate sectors in Bangladesh and abroad. 

Mr. Akhter Matin Chaudhury FCA, FCS, is a seasoned professional with a career spanning over 50 years, contributing extensively to the financial and corporate sectors in Bangladesh and abroad. Born on February 2, 1951, in Dhaka, he graduated with a major in Economics in 1971 from the University of Karachi and began his professional journey with Rowland Neville & Co., London, UK, qualifying as a Chartered Accountant. He holds memberships in the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW), the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh (ICAB) and the Institute of Chartered Secretaries of Bangladesh (ICSB) becoming a Fellow Member of all three. Currently a Partner at MABS & J Partners, Mr. Chaudhury has held leadership roles such as Chairman and Managing Director of Nuvista Pharma Limited (2006–2018), Managing Director of Organon (Bangladesh) Limited and Director at BOC Bangladesh Limited. His international experience includes executive and managerial roles in the UK from 1976 to 1986, notably as Executive Director of Zylo Management Ltd. Mr. Chaudhury’s extensive board experience includes his current role as Independent Director at Walton Hi-Tech Industries PLC, along with previous appointments as Independent Director at United Commercial Bank Ltd. (Chairman, Audit Committee) and UCB Fintech Ltd. (Chairman, Executive Committee).

Ms. Johora Bebe is a highly accomplished banking professional with nearly four decades of experience in commercial banking, risk management and project financing. She holds an MBA from the Institute of Business Administration (IBA), University of Dhaka (1982) and a B.Sc. (Honors) in Chemistry from the University of Chittagong (1980).

Ms. Johora Bebe is a highly accomplished banking professional with nearly four decades of experience in commercial banking, risk management and project financing. She holds an MBA from the Institute of Business Administration (IBA), University of Dhaka (1982) and a B.Sc. (Honors) in Chemistry from the University of Chittagong (1980). She began her banking career as a Senior Officer at Agrani Bank and concluded it in October 2020 as Additional Managing Director (AMD) and Chief Risk Officer (CRO) of Meghna Bank PLC. In this role, she led the Credit Risk Management, Risk Management and Special Asset Management divisions and also served as a Nominated Director of Meghna Bank Securities Limited. Ms. Bebe served at One Bank PLC from 2005 to 2017 and rose to the position of Deputy Managing Director (DMD). She oversaw key functions including Credit Risk, IT, International Operations and AML Compliance. She served as Head of Credit for nearly a decade and briefly led the Operations Division. As Chief Risk Officer (CRO) and Chief Anti-Money Laundering Compliance Officer (CAMLCO), she played a significant role in strengthening the Bank’s risk governance and regulatory compliance framework. Her expertise in structured and project finance was further strengthened during her tenure at IFIC Bank PLC (1996–2004). Joining as a Senior Assistant Vice President, she played a pivotal role in establishing the Project Finance Division and managed large-scale project and syndicated financing, departing as a Senior Vice President.
